Train Transfers To and From Trabzon Airport

There isn't any railway to the airport or anywhere in Trabzon.

Therefore, you must take the train to Erzurum (Dogu Ekspresi - Eastern express), which departs from Haydarpasa train station in Istanbul.

From Erzurum, you should take a bus to Trabzon.

Note: We found that having a car made getting around Trabzon much more accessible, especially since we wanted to visit some of the more out-of-the-way sights.

While some public transportation options are available, they can be infrequent and unreliable. Renting a car will allow you to explore at your pace and make getting to and from the Trabzon Airport simpler.
